MipTV London 2025 UK
MipTV London 2025 is the leading event for television content creation and distribution that will take place from February 24 – 27 2025. The venue for the event is The Savoy Hotel and the neighbouring IET London: Savoy Place, adjacent venues in London’s West End. This event will take place concurrently with the 2025 London TV Screenings. MipTV 2025 London will start with a pre-opening ceremony on Feb 23 2025.
MipTV London 2025 UK is meant to be a complementary event for London Screenings and will target smaller international companies who want to expand their network with the international executives at the venue. Unlike the traditional and previous Mip events, Mip London will be more of a networking and development hub rather than an exhibition event.
MipTV has been held in Cannes since 1963. However, for many years, the event has been struggling with declining attendance and increased competition from other events like Content London and the French TV festival Series Mania. The organisers have revealed that the last edition in 2024 was the smallest in the years.
MipTV 2024 was attended by 3,500 attendees, including 1,100 buyers, down from 5000+ attendees in 2023. This has led the organisers, RX France, to relocate MipTV 2025 in London. Lucy Smith, the RX Entertainment Division Director, revealed that the new event will include screenings, meetings and networking instead of exhibitions.
MipTV London 2025 will take place in the same week as the 2025 London TV Screenings. It aims to benefit from the popularity of London Screenings, which has grown to be the most popular small-screen event in Europe.
